J. Wilson Watt (MSW, '83 & Ph.D., '92) is an Associate Professor at the MU School of Social Work. He received his graduate Social Work degrees from the Jane Admas College of Social Work-UIC and has been on the MU faculty since Fall 1992. Prior to entering academic practice, he spent over 20 years as a clinical and administrative practitioner in social work agencies, primarily focusing on child abuse and neglect and services to the dependent elderly. His research and teaching focuses on development of child welfare education and training models and on enhancement of child welfare practice and service delivery. He is also involved in international social work education development in Eastern Europe, for which he received a Fulbright Teaching Scholars Award in 9996.
