Michael Taksar

Professor of Mathematics

Michael Taksar received his Ph.D. from Cornell University in 1979. The same year, he joined the faculty of the Department of Operations Research of Stanford University. After that, he was a faculty member at Florida State University, State University of New York at Stony Brook, and in 2002 became a faculty member of the Department of Mathematics at Mizzou.

Michael Taksar is a full member of the Operations Research Society of America, a member of IEEE, American Mathematical Society, International Association of Financial Engineers and Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics. He is a recipient of a 2001 Fulbright Senior Research and Teaching award.

Michael Taksar has developed and is currently in charge of the graduate and the undergraduate Mathematical Finance curriculum.
