Johannes Schul
Associate Professor Johannes Schul is an associate professor of Biological Sciences and a member of the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program (INP). He joined MU in 2000. His research, funded mainly by NSF, uses acoustic communication in insects as a model to study fundamental questions in neurobiology and evolution. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses spanning both evolutionary and neurobiological disciplines. Currently he is part of an NSF grant for developing a training program in computational/quantitative neuroscience. He has advised multiple graduate students and postdocs in his lab since arriving at MU and has served on several committees in Biological Sciences and the INP.
