Steve Neal was raised in a small farm town in Iowa. Steve received three degrees from Iowa State University, including a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics in 1988. Steve's research focuses on fundamental issues associated with the use of ultrasound for the characterization of engineering and biological materials. Steve and his wife, Judy, have one child, Joe is on course to graduate from Rock Bridge High School in 2008.
