Thomas Marrero
Professor of Chemical Engineering Tom Marrero is a Professor of Chemical Engineering. He teaches Process Design 1 (UG seniors) and Unit Operations Laboratory. Offering a class in sustainability in Honors College. Research in alternative energy - acetylene fuel the "sleeping giant". He is interested in increasing those with disadvantages to become interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Active in campus service committees, national with AlChE Centennial, international with Interamerican Confederation of Chemical Engineering and International Freight Pipeline Society. Joined the University on August 1, 1979; visited or worked on all the continents.
