April Langley

April LangleyAssociate Professor
April Langley is an Associate Professor of English and an Affiliate of Women's and Gender Studies and Black Studies.  She received a Ph.D. in English from the University of Notre Dame and specializes in eighteenth and nineteenth century African American literary and Black/Feminist/Womanist Theory. Other interests and areas of research and teaching include Spiritual Autobiography, Autobiography Theories and the dilemmas posed by multiple identity constructions in theory and practice.  She lives in Columbia with her husband Jimi (MU Athletic Department Coordinator), her mother and her uncle.
