John Dwyer

John DwyerAssociate Professor
I teach courses in Forest Fire Ecology, Control and Use, Forest Resource Management, and Resource Practicum (senior capstone course in the School of Natural Resources. My research interests include developing forest management guidelines for the extraction and use of woody biomass as a source of renewable feedstocks to generate energy, and the study of the silvical and biological impacts of managing cattle, forages, and trees in a silvopasture system. Prior to joining the Forestry faculty, I worked as a forest manager for Weyerhaeuser Company in Arkansas and Oklahoma.
