Timeline   

The timeline for the vote process is as follows:

Tuesday Feb 19, Public Faculty Forum takes place.

March 19 (morning), Electronic voting opens.

April 2 (11:59 PM), Electronic voting closes.

April 3, DOIT staff accompanied by the Ballot Oversight Committee will view the results; results will be announced by Faculty Council chair Harry Tyrer.

If the motion fails, nothing occurs; else the following takes place,

April 11 and 12, Board of Curators acts on the proposed change.  

 

Faculty Council has created an online discussion area in Blackboard for the purpose of holding discussion, posting opinions and links, and the like, outside the confines of a physical meeting of the Faculty Council.  All faculty (tenured, tenure track, non-tenure track, other academic appointment) may post there.  To enter this space, log into Blackboard and look for "MU Faculty Discussions" under My Organizations on the left side of the screen.

We invite you to a Public Forum to be held Tuesday Feb 19 at 3:00 to 4:30 in Memorial Union room S203.  We will have about 20 minutes of presentations then invite questions and comments from those present.  

The timeline for the vote process is as follows:

Tuesday Feb 19, Faculty Forum takes place.

March 4 to 8 voting takes place (this will be an email vote).

If the vote fails, nothing occurs; else the following takes place,

March 11 to 15, forward proposed change to MU bylaws to system.

April 11 and 12, Board of Curators acts on the proposed change.
