Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is effectively the Council Chair's cabinet. It is made up of the officers of the Council which includes: Vice-Chair of Council, the Recorder of Council meetings, the Council Observer to the Board of Curators, the Council Web Site Editor and the chairs of the five Standing Committees. If an additional person is appointed Parliamentarian, then this person will serve as an ex officio member of the Executive Committee. It is current Chair's prerogative to include a Parliamentarian. Among its duties, the Executive Committee:
- approves the agenda for Council meetings,
- approves the annual Council calendar,
- recommends to Council the appointment of faculty members to various committees and task forces,
- and meets regularly with the Chancellor and with the Provost.
In addition, the Executive Committee may act for Council when necessary, in accordance with the "Rules of Order".
